Changing My Priorities #God #Dog #Love | Without A Label.

This is a post about my sweet old chocolate lab Harley. I would really appreciate you reading it and if you happen to pray please pray for her. She is having a rough time with walking, standing up, has a neurological disorder, and lot’s of other things going on. I am in the process of finding out weather or not I need to put her down. In the mean time I am doing everything in my power to keep her happy and free from pain. Thank you in advance for your comments. thoughts, and prayers. Much love to you all!

Psalms of Praise Womens' Ministries - My Daily Bread!

A Call to Praise and Worship – My Daily Bread!

Our call to praise and worship is found in Psalm 145: 17-20, NIV, which reads:

“The Lord is righteous in all His ways and loving toward all He has made.  The Lord is near to all who call on Him, on all who call on Him in truth.  He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cry and saves them.  The Lord watches over all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy.  My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord.  Let every creature praise His holy name forever and ever.”

A Psalm of praise and worship to our Most High God and King!  Draw near to Him in His sanctuary, seeking the truth of His Word.   On this Holy Day bring your praise with gladness and make a joyful noise!  For the…

Nizy's Life Compendium

Psalm 145

I will praise You, my God, O king; and I will bless Your name for ever and ever.

Every day will I bless You; One generation shall praise Your works to another.

I will speak of the glorious honor of Your majesty, and of Your wondrous works and mercy.

They shall abundantly utter the memory of Your great goodness, and shall sing of Your righteousness.

Our  LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

Our  LORD is good to all: and His tender mercies are over all his works.

All the people shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, and talk of Your power;

To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all generations.

Our  LORD upholds all that fall, and…

(CNN) – “The Blind Side” was a heartwarming movie about a real-life Christian family who adopted a troubled teen with a knack for football, helped him get into college, and eventually all the way to the NFL. It was nominated for a best picture Oscar, won Sandra Bullock the best actress Oscar, and it won over Christian audiences who for decades have said they were slighted and misrepresented by Hollywood. But all that was not enough to keep the movie on the shelves one of the country’s largest Christian bookstores.

LifeWay Christian Resources, a division of the Southern Baptist Convention, had been selling the DVD at its 165 stores for two years with a sticker warning its patrons of strong language. There were rumblings about a resolution last month at the denomination’s annual conference, and complaints from about a dozen people prompted LifeWay to remove the film from its shelves and online store…..
“When Hollywood does that incredible rare thing and portrays people of faith in a positive light, it’s such a rare thing, we have to be grateful,” he said and not push to have the film removed from stores.

I personally love this movie. I like that it actually portrays Christians in a positive light for once. I think it is sad that it is being pulled from the shelves of Christian book stores because of a racial slur. I do happen to agree that using the Lord’s name in vain is unnecessary and could have been left out of the movie. I do see where the people of the Christian book store would be offended at such a thing, however this is a Hollywood movie and us Christians have to take our positive light where we can get it.
I don’t condone taking the Lord’s name in vain and If you were my friend saying it I would tell you to think about who and what you are talking about before spouting off such a thing. If I didn’t know you I would turn the other way and not want to get to know you. I wouldn’t say hey that’s offensive (unless I was PMSsing) although, now that I think about it, maybe I should. Because, after all it is offensive. This topic is a tough one because like I said, we need to take our props where we can get it. Maybe they should just bleep out the parts that aren’t representing Christians in the proper light. Now, there’s a way to keep everyone happy. I think!
What are your thoughts about this? I would like to hear what you have to say!
Much love,
Kimmy

Of course my moods change, but the average is serenity. I have a firm faith in art, a firm confidence in its being a powerful stream which carries a man to a harbor, though he himself must do his bit too; at all events, I think it such a great blessings. Vincent van Gogh

My little 5×5 inch piece of work is tucked in between two of  Master Artist Vincent van Gogh. What nerve of me to think my art can compare to his!

Of course I am not comparing at all and anyone who knows me would be on the floor laughing at the audacity of the thought. What I can compare though is MOOD. As van Gogh’s quotation points out his general mood is serenity which reflects in his art, as is mine. But, I look at my ‘Pink’ piece I see that I did not possess an…

A Little Info about Bipolar Disorder « bipolarmuse.

Bipolar Disorder is still not widely understood. How do we get it? Is it handed down? Spontaneous selection? It is well known that this disorder is one that can be handed down through our family. Approximately half the people who have bipolar disorder have a family member with a mood disorder. A person with ONE parent who has bipolar disorder has a 15-20% chance of having the condition. Twins have about a 25% chance of getting the condition whereas identical twins, in which one has the disorder, the other identical twin has a greater risk of developing the illness (about an eightfold greater risk than a nonidentical twins).  So this proves greatly that the disorder indeed “runs in the family” and is genetic.

“Another cause is Neurochemical.  Bipolar disorder is a biological disorder that occurs in a specific area of the brain and is due to the dysfunction of certain neurotransmitters, or chemical messengers, in the brain. These chemicals may involve neurotransmitters like norepinephrine, serotonin and probably many others. As a biological disorder, it may lie dormant and be activated on its own or it may be triggered by external factors such as psychological stress and social circumstances.” ~ Psych Central

Environmental factors include life altering events that triggers the dormant bipolar illness. Hormonal changes, drug and alcohol abuse also contribute to an “episode” even if there is no biological factor.

Medication can trigger mania! This happened to me when the norm to treat bipolar was to prescribe antidepressant along with a mood stabilizer.

RSD Advisory- Where Chronic Pain & Depression Collide

Cyclothymic Disorder
http://www.merck.com/mrkshared/mmanual/section15/chapter189/189e.jsp

Less severe hypomanic and mini-depressive periods follow an irregular course, with each period lasting a few days. Cyclothymic disorder is commonly a precursor of bipolar II disorder. But it can also occur as extreme moodiness without being complicated by major mood disorders. In such cases, brief cycles of retarded depression accompanied by low self-confidence and increased sleep alternate with elation or increased enthusiasm and shortened sleep. In another form, low-grade depressive features predominate; the bipolar tendency is shown primarily by how easily elation or irritability is induced by antidepressants. In chronic hypomania, a form rarely seen clinically, elated periods predominate, with habitual reduction of sleep to < 6 h. Persons with this form are constantly overcheerful, self-assured, overenergetic, full of plans, improvident, overinvolved, and meddlesome; they rush off with restless impulses and accost people.

Although cyclothymic and chronic hypomanic dispositions contribute to success in business, leadership, achievement…

Unjaded Muse Poetry

Vintage ’85 stars in a bottle;
it was a very good year.
They have been sitting on a shelf
waiting for a special occasion to shine.

Now they are chilling in the fridge,
with two glasses on the counter top
awaiting their fulfillment.

They are not crystal,
but they are clean and unbroken.
